This client contacted us having purchased a wonderful new family home. It had recently had new laminate installed throughout by the previous owners, but our client wanted a softer, warmer floor for their living room as they have a young son. After our initial consultation the client selected a sumptuous man-made grey carpet from Victoria and the prestigious Caviar & Crystal 9mm underlay. This combination will warm the room, provide a luxury feel underfoot and best of all offers a bleach cleanable carpet with an Ultra Fresh, anti-microbial underlay, so any spills or accidents can be cleaned with minimal effort.

We uplifted the existing laminate flooring and cut it back in the doorways to areas where the laminate floor was staying. We removed all the old underlay and cleaned up the concrete subfloor taking out some nails we found. After a thorough sweep we installed brand new grippers and aluminium door trims to the remaining laminate flooring before installing the new underlay and carpet.

For all our installations we tape the underlay joins to prevent dust migration. We also vacuum the newly fitted carpet(s) upon completion. The preparation and installation work followed all relevant manufacturers guidelines and British Standards.
